A Homophobic Horse Isle!?!?! #ThisIsBull

This post is being updated as the news continues.

Remember yesterday's post with SwanSong? Click here to read it.

Well, one of the players got banned. And no, it wasn't the HI hero and savior Design. IT WAS BULLDOG. Not Design. Now you're probably thinking "wtf did she do compared to Design?" And yes, Design did get four violation points, but...

BullDog got banned because she's lesbian. She got TWELVE VIOS for "date speak" or discussing her orientation. And while, yes, that is technically against the rules, let me remind you of FrogLips & MrFroggy, who are moderators and in a heterosexual (straight) relationship...?

Click on the images to enlarge. If that doesn't work, read the transcription from me below.

Above:
Here is Bull's answer from support. It is basically the rules being laid out (detailed rules > dating and "adult topics")

And Design, being a good friend and ally (#loveislove) decided to inquire about it. Here are her photos.

ABOVE, FROM DESIGN:
 "Good morning,
I understand why I was given vio points. Do I think 4 is excessive and absolutely ridiculous? Absolutely. However that is not the issue i'm having right now.

I understand you banned a friend of mine for stating that she has a girlfriend, and is a lesbian. However, when other players mention their male significant others, there is no issue. How come there are husband and wife teams allowed on the game where they openly admit they are married (i.e FrogLips & MrFrogLips) but my female friend cannot mention her girlfriend? Honestly, how dare you? It's 2018. If you guys can't get over the fact that gay couples exist & that love is love, I'm not sure how much longer this game will last. There are many players on the game that mention their hetero relationships without issue. The fact that you blatantly singled BullDog out for being gay is absolutely disguising. Please review this decision, and keep in mind the the world is changing to be a more accepting & loving place. If you guys can't accept that, then it's only a matter of time before you're left in the dust by other, more accepting & reasonable horse games."

ABOVE: Design is lectured about the same rules as Bull was (dating, adult topics)

LEFT: Design: "I do understand that. My question is, why are heterosexual players left alone when mentioning their significant others, but homosexual players are singled out? That is literally the definition of discrimination. Please do not act as if I'm stupid and send me the rules. If BullDog is not allowed to have a girlfriend, then why is FrogLips & MrFrogLips allowed to advertise their heterosexual relationshi?"

LEFT:
Connie from HI support: "No one person is singled out for anything on Horse Isle."

Design: "Excuse me? There are many heterosexual players on the game that mention their partner in their profile, or even in some of the chats on the game and they do not get any sort of punishment, but the second a lesbian mentions her girlfriend she gets banned. How is that not singling out a player and discriminating? And you still didn't answer my question as to why FrogLips & MrFrogLips are allowed to advertise their heterosexual relationship. Must be because they are in a position of power [they're mods], correct? Seems fishy and corrupt to me."

The next reply has mention of suicide. Please be aware and skip over it if it is harmful to you. See the next reply titled "Design"
Design: "Maybe you need to understand where I'm coming from. My best friend is a lesbian who is suicidal because of people like you who discriminate against LGBTQ+ people. All homosexual people want are the same rights as heterosexual people. How is that hard to grasp?"

Design: "So your argument that "no one person is singled out for anything on Horse Isle is invalid & uneducated."

Design: "So your argument that "no one person is singled out for anything on Horse Isle is invalid & uneducated."

Design: Another thing for you guys to keep in mind. Many players on this game are either a part of LGBTQ+ or are in support of it. I highly doubt they would be very happy to hear about this, and would probably want nothing to do with any sort of Horseisle... which could potentially hurt your HI3 launch."

Design was later banned. She sent me this:

<<- LEFT:

Connie (HI Support): "This content has no place on the children's/family game. It is not the place to proselytize [convert or attempt to convert people] or have people join a cause of any kind. We do not allow controversial content regardless of what that content is.
You have recieved a suspension for sending players to off game websites containing inappropriate content. [Probably this here blog.**] The length of the suspension will be determined by the other administrator [Kat?] when she gets to it."

Design: "Oh so this is what happens when you guys realized you severely messed up. You ban the player to quiet them rather than facing the music and admitting when you are wrong."

Design: "If the ban is permanent I do expect to be refunded the full amount of real life money I have wasted on this game."

#ThisIsBull. I've started putting pride flag art on my profile and ranch.
It was reported that Druid (previously Eileithyia and Selkie) was also given a violation point for suggesting the word "queer" into the dictionary.

  2. Weird. When I played horse isle 1 back in 2008, homosexuality was not really an issue with moderators. The friend I had, she talked about her girlfriend all the time but was frequently violated for cussing or being rude in general, but now I question if they had ulterior motives when they ended up permanently banning her.
